Xinhua Net: Unveiling New Trends in Children's Wear with Fashion, Fun, and Safety

Xinhua Net, September 10th—Chinese children's designer brand Red Copper made its debut at China International Fashion Week, simultaneously releasing its Spring 2025 collection. As a first-time participant, Red Copper centered its showcase around the Light Trendy Series and Light Sport Series, relying on three thematic story scenes to present a dreamy and innocent fashion show.

In this grand event, Red Copper crafted three imaginative scenes: "Quirky Market," "Deep Sea Grand Hotel," and "Natural Kaleidoscope," exhibiting the brand's aesthetic style of diverse fusion and fashion creativity. Each scene was filled with unique elements and design details—the peculiar snack "UFO Fried Egg" in the Quirky Market, bubble-constructed buildings in the Deep Sea Grand Hotel, and high-transparency lenses in the Natural Kaleidoscope—making the products rich in storytelling and fun.


In terms of integrating creative elements with children's clothing, Red Copper stylishly coordinates colors, materials, and craftsmanship based on different usage scenarios and needs. Taking "Natural Kaleidoscope" as an example, in terms of colors, it primarily uses cyan-green, paired with sporty gray and accented with a touch of yellow-green, showcasing the characteristics of outdoor light sports scenes; in terms of fabrics, it features coarse-woven washed cotton, sand-washed cotton, as well as outdoor three-proof fabrics and UV-resistant materials, enhancing children's sense of protection and safety during outdoor activities; in terms of craftsmanship, it adopts techniques like glued seam processing, dip-dyeing, and pull-slurry, seamlessly merging comfort and aesthetics to meet the multifunctional practical needs of outdoor sports and daily commuting.

In recent years, with the unleashed purchasing power of a new generation of parents and the shift in children's fashion consumption concepts, the children's clothing market has shown strong growth momentum. According to data from the China Research and Puhua Research Institute, it is expected that by 2024, the scale of China's children's clothing market will exceed 400 billion yuan, reaching 473.8 billion yuan by 2025.


The consumption potential in children's clothing has attracted a large number of cross-industry and emerging brands to enter the market, aiming to meet more segmented and refined consumers through product innovation, technological upgrades, and diverse expressions.


Founded in 2019, Red Copper is an original designer children's clothing brand. Its inception stems from the deep love of the brand's founder, Li Lin, chairman of HT Fashion, for his own child. Li Lin stated: "I hope that through Red Copper, we can incorporate parents' care for their children, allowing more kids to grow up with a fashionable and comfortable dressing experience." Red Copper selects healthy, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced fabrics, focusing on four main product series: Light Sport, Light Trendy, Original IP, and Parent-Child, providing new choices of multi-occasion, high-quality, light-trendy fashion wear for children aged 2–15.


Jiang Mingkun, Manager of Red Copper's Brand Design Department, introduced that the theme of this show is "Wonderful Growth, Colorful World." This theme originates from the pure, innocent inner world of children, full of curiosity and desire for exploration. Children are like seedlings breaking through the soil in spring, full of vitality and constantly growing and changing. The "Colorful World" represents the beautiful, rich, and splendid scenes in life.


Red Copper believes that when purchasing children's clothing, consumers are not only satisfying basic wearing needs but also paying more attention to the quality, safety, and fashion of the products. "By using creative designs to enhance the fun of the products and win the children's love, and then improving safety and quality to gain parents' approval," said Jiang Mingkun when asked how Red Copper wins the favor of both children and parents.


In the future, Red Copper will focus on brand building and product quality, combining new materials and new technologies with original designs to enhance the brand's individuality and added value, meeting consumers' diversified needs.
