School-Enterprise Co-construction｜Return to School: Upgrading Training on Three-dimensional Cutting Skills

HT comprehensive news: In order to consolidate the basic knowledge and strengthen the professional skills, HT Fashion organised a two-day training on three-dimensional cutting skills upgrading for the partners of the technical department of each organisation to go back to school on 20 April.

This training activity specially invited Director Guo Lianxia, Director of Clothing Teaching and Research Department of Jinan Engineering Vocational and Technical College, National Senior Technician, and Lecturer of KAB Entrepreneurship Education (China) Project, to give a lecture on three-dimensional tailoring related knowledge. In the training, in order to enrich the classroom knowledge in multiple dimensions, Director Guo shared her experience in three-dimensional tailoring in response to the problems of flat tailoring samples, and divided the teaching process into two parts: in the explanation section, she talked in detail about the method of tailoring suits and other tight-fitting garments and the precautions, and in the practical part of the training, she allowed everyone to do hands-on manipulation on the table, which enabled everyone to master the three-dimensional tailoring steps, methods, and skills. In the lecture session, the method and precautions of three-dimensional tailoring are explained in detail.

The partners of the technical department came to study and research with their problems. After listening carefully to the teacher's explanation, everyone showed their skills and started to make tights on the table according to the three-dimensional cutting steps and precautions explained by the teacher. Excellent clothing pattern is through a variety of methods and practice repeated modifications, clothing pattern adjustment is made in the pattern making out of the samples of this procedure summed up, so proficient in three-dimensional tailoring knowledge can effectively reduce the repeated samples to see the pattern of the process.

The achievement of this training is also a further initiative of HT Fashion to promote school-enterprise co-operation in industry-university-research co-construction. In the future, HT Fashion will continue to promote in-depth exchanges between schools and enterprises to achieve further resource sharing and mutual benefit.
